WELCOME TO THE RUAPEHU TRAIL FESTIVAL

This is one beast of a trail running and walking festival held in the Tongariro National Park.

Something BIG happened in March 2023 when Victory Events brought together two outstanding, trusted events, the Ring of Fire and Tussock Traverse! The location was awe-inspiring, the atmosphere was exhilarating and the Ruapehu region was pumping!

Although the Ring of Fire will take a year off in 2024, you can still enter the 20th Anniversary Tussock Traverse (happening on Saturday 3rd February 2024) here. We hope to make an additional announcement on the Sky Waka Vertical Challenge shortly too.
